I was very happy to celebrate with my friend, Artist Christian Hook, his award of the Freedom of the City of Gibraltar in 2015, in recognition of his global success as a Gibraltarian artist. His career has been dotted with successes which culminated in his winning the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2014 with a portrait of Ian McKellen.

Litigation is a stressful experience which is why at Amber Law we litigate as a last resort. Music as therapy has been scientifically proved to benefit health and wellbeing. It is a privilege to support One Voice as an example of healing energy through music, affirmations and mantra. Thank you Integral Yoga Centre and thank you Once Voice!

The Workshop focused on the creative solutions available to overcome inequality not just at work but in all areas of life.
It is always a joy to be invited to an event, especially when it is an opportunity for a team to close the office, literally 'let our hair down', relax and enjoy! Lawyer wellbeing is paramount at Amber Law. Our work and clients are better served when we as Lawyers are looking after our own mental, emotional and physical health. Thank you Sunborn Yacht Hotel for the generous invite and for a fabulous day shared at Sotogrande Polo.
When our local Sandpits Tennis Club contacted Amber Law to seek financial support for the maintenance of its grounds, I was very pleased to be able to assist. Any sport is a positive influence on our youth; instilling the values and qualities of discipline, focus, physical and mental exercise, perseverance, motivation, responsibility and self-confidence. Whilst our youth have access to such establishments we are building better and stronger future generations of our community!

Mike Talbot, Founder and CEO of U.K. Mediation was the Professional Trainer engaged by the Gibraltar Citizens Advice Bureau to deliver a one-day training course on Employment Discrimination Mediation. Amber Law was very happy to be in attendance once again given Amber Law's Holistic approach to the practice of law and the firm's commitment to exploring all avenues of Alternate Dispute Resolution ahead of taking the adversarial litigious route, which Founder Amber Turner says, can be damaging to clients' mental and emotional health as well as more financially costly too.
Holistic Lawyer, Barrister and Mediator Amber Turner BSc (Hons) LLM was invited by the Gibraltar Integral Yoga Centre to be one of its Guest Speakers on World Peace Day. Amber spoke of the reasons to strive for peace in the family home through methods of conflict resolution. With statistics of around 40-50% divorce rates in the western world, Amber’s focus was on the importance of creating peaceful environments, especially for children to reduce or eliminate the generational cycles of negative and destructive behaviour which only serve to cause pain, trauma and suffering. Amber reminded the attendees that peace starts within and in your family home. Once you have achieved peace within yourself and made peace with your immediate and extended family, then go forward and work on peace in your circle of friends, your community and beyond. A mind and heart that are not in peace cannot logically be a channel or instrument of peace.

Amber Law attended this years' Women in Business dinner at the Rock Hotel in Gibraltar, organised by its Chair Tonia Brooks. It is a rare occasion that 'all women' events are hosted locally but important, as it is an opportunity to raise and discuss issues that affect only women, particularly as regards the workplace and business. It was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all! Congratulations to WIB Chair and her team, for organising this. With thanks.

Amber Law and some of our collaborators and clients have been supporting 'Hogar Betania', a Shelter for homeless adults and their children in La Linea, Cadiz, Spain. Hogar Betania was forced to close by the Junta de Andalucia when funding was cut in 2011. The following article was published in the Insight Magazine, explaining the work that both individuals and businesses have done, in order to secure the ongoing work of the Shelter in providing a home for people who have come across hard times and find themselves literally on the streets.
